Cruising along on a wet Georgia interstate with your speed set at a comfortable 55 mph? You may be in more danger of a serious accident than the driver that just passed you going 80 mph.
When a car tire hits a puddle of water or hydroplanes a driver typically eases up on the accelerator. Not so with cruise control. It will continue to accelerate and can force your car into a dangerous skid.

For some reason the car manufacturers have never made much of an effort to get the word out to the driving public. Pass it along: never use cruise on wet roads.
